Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager is part of an important role within the Sales & Marketing team. Under the leadership of the Director of Sales & Marketing and collaborating with the PR and Content Manager, key responsibilities will include planning, creating, executing and supporting the hotel, western mountain region and corporate in all marketing efforts, with the goal of increasing customer loyalty and destination awareness. This role will specialize in digital marketing in supporting the hotels key revenue streams by implementing strategies to increase web traffic and conversion. Oher responsibilities include all in-house marketing creation and support to ensure brand consistency and messaging within the hotel.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plans, coordinates & executes key marketing campaigns
  • Prepares marketing reports and presentations by collecting, analysing and summarizing data and visuals

  • Strategically prepares and executes media buys for digital and print working with key partners and suppliers

  • Oversees and implements web optimization (SEO) on our website / microsites

  • Produces copy for websites and collateral (ad copy, creative writing)

  • Manages and maintains leisure/transient room packages and offers on website and microsites

  • Oversee and implements all hotel and corporate email marketing elements

  • Develops and executes monthly property E-Newsletters via Responsys email blasts

  • Works with Content Marketing Manager to develop monthly, quarterly and annual social media content calendar

  • Participates in hotel events, festivals and seasonal activities to maximize social media and content generation opportunities

  • Promotes and adheres to Fairmont Brand Standards through numerous graphic design projects

  • Designs and creates campaign collateral (print ads, digital display ads, rack cards) and oversees the production and distribution of literature and collateral

  • Responsible for all guest facing pieces of collateral and signage – including the digital signage system and in-room guest entertainment system

  • Develops in-house communications and collateral: elevator posters, guest room channels, resort guides etc

  • Provides marketing support to the group sales and tour/travel trade teams, special events and Wellness

  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives

  • Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives

  • Carry out any other tasks as assigned




Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Digital/Online Marketing post-secondary education

  • Previous hotel and/or tourism marketing experience an asset

  • Excellent knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Previous Graphic Design education, experience and expertise using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), portfolio samples will be requested

  • Googles Analytics certification required

  • Experience with SEO strategies and PPC campaigns

  • Experience with digital display (desktop & mobile) prospective and remarketing campaigns

  • Passion for Social Media Marketing and Online Guest Relations

  • Previous experience with email campaign and database management

  • Articulate, self-motivated, energetic team-player

  • Knowledge of digital/online programming, rendering, and execution

  • Knowledge of commercial printing processes and techniques

  • Management of third party vendors and suppliers

  • Project management expertise
