There is an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk job opening for someone who is self-starting and detail-oriented. This is a long-term temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Aurora, Ohio area. Accountemps is partnering with a growing Wholesale Distribution - Dur Goods company who is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk to join the accounting team. As part of their duties, the Accounts Receivable Clerk will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. What you get to do every single day - Provide information, as requested to the sales/marketing department, shippers, customers, and other stakeholders - Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization - Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP - Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment - Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks - Balance bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a number of different ledgers - Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans - Verify codes and documents


- Command of commercial collections - Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) - Microsoft Excel experience - ERP system experience - Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement - Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy - 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred
