 Mforce Shift Hours 3rd Shift 10:00pm 6:30am

 Position Summary: Utilizes knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform a variety of tasks in the production of the Cooper Power Systems MForce ThreePhase Switch product line. Maintains standards of quality, production, and safety; complies with all company policies and works as part of a team to ensure that daily goals are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Safety: • Responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, complying with JSAs, wearing proper PPE, complying with the production attire policy, and assuring that the work cell has safe equipment and no risk is placed on their coworkers or themselves. • Any safety issue identified should be reported immediately to supervisor or manager. • General cleaning of shop areas and personal 5S/industrial housekeeping responsibility. Production: • Works under limited supervision to plan, requisition materials, set up and operate a variety of operations and coordinate run sequences to assemble polymer and/or porcelain threephase switches according to the OMS/standard work for each operation. • Works from drawings, prints, work orders, or operation descriptions. • Is fully trained on all operations within the ThreePhase Switch department, which may include component assembly, unit phase assembly, switch assembly, mechanical and electrical testing, and crating and packing. • Typical equipment used such as various hand and air tools, torque wrenches, hoists, hydraulic press, cutoffsaw, pneumatic nail gun, continuity tester, and fork truck. • Operator is responsible for settingup the workstation, maintaining production, process control and quality standards, and conforming to all safety and good housekeeping standards. Execute all assemblies, processes, tests, and inspections related to the production of threephase switch product lines. • Maintains quality standards consistent with the Eatons Cooper Power Systems Quality Policy. Visually inspects components and products. Takes ownership of the recognition and communication of quality issues. • Notifies the supervisor/manager of all problems with product or quality. • Works in a team environment, accepting other duties as assigned, including flexing between work cells as needed. • Performs assigned miscellaneous duties within the scope of operations, which may not be specifically listed above. Minimum Requirements: • High School Diploma or Equivalency. • Ability to read and write, simple math skills including adding and subtracting whole numbers and fractions. • Ability to read and interpret a tape measure. • Ability to communicate problems in product or quality in to supervisor or manager clearly and concisely. • Physical Requirements: o Ability to perform the following within an 8 hour workday (As this analysis is based on an 8 hour day, working 12 hours would increase these figures): Lifting Floor to Waist 50lbs Occasionally Lifting Waist to shoulder 50 lbs Rarely
