Adecco is currently assisting a local food manufacturing company, recruiting for Maintenance Technician's in Westbrook, ME! This role is temp-to-hire or direct hire / permanent, with a starting pay rate between $28 - $33 per hour based on experience, plus incentives and overtime!

Schedule – 4, 10-hour shifts - 1st Shift and 2nd Shift available.

This position will help oversee the maintenance technician's daily activities to ensure that day to day maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with production needs. Work closely with Manager to effectively prioritize daily work activities to accomplish daily production and maintenance objectives. Help provide training to maintenance technicians for repairs and maintenance on production equipment along with overall system operation and trouble shooting and diagnosis.


  • Daily supervision of the maintenance department.
  • Coordinate support/resources for production and non-production work activities.
  • Add performance input of direct reports inclusive of annual performance reviews.
  • Leads routine, periodic, and special inspections to determine repairs needed or corrective actions taken to prevent breakdowns, unsafe conditions or to comply with Company policy.
  • Perform production equipment change-over as dictated by schedule or requested by shift supervisor (as needed or directed to best meet departmental objectives).
  • Interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, layouts and wiring diagrams.
  • Help lead the effort of preparing documentation regarding Preventive Maintenance and Machine Operation through effective communication and collaboration with Production Supervisors, Managers.
  • Able to set up and operate all equipment needed to perform assigned tasks.
  • Maintain appropriate records, keeps inventory of spare parts and shop materials to effect proper repairs on all equipment.
  • Respond to alarms or trouble calls as required and maintains a strong floor presence.
  • Function as a key member of both the production & maintenance team and assists as necessary to accomplish production goals, and through-put initiatives.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 5+ years' experience as an electromechanical technician, experience with automation in the medical field.
  • Hands-on electro-mechanical repair, rebuild, field service experience.

  • Technical Certificate as an Electro-Mechanical Technician, Industrial Maintenance Automotive Repair, or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of supervisory/lead experience
  • 5+ years of diverse experience in high volume production setting.

  • Skill in using computer applications including spreadsheets, database, and word processing software.
  • Familiarity with formal preventative maintenance program
  • Able to effectively communicate and coach employee performance.
  • Knowledgeable in pneumatic and electromechanical equipment design methodologies and fundamental operations.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and asset management including spare part list development, preventative maintenance.
