Adecco Search is actively recruiting for a Manufacturing Manager Job in Rochester, New York.  Our client, a global manufacturing company is GROWING!  The Manufacturing Manager will report directly to the Director of Engineering.

The Manufacturing Manager is a high energy position, principally responsible to lead the Refurbishment team in our Rochester, NY facility to achieve service, quality, productivity and profitability objectives. You will develop and optimize processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the company. Manages the staffing to ensure orders are completed on a timely basis and quality objectives are achieved. This role works closely with the following departments: Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics and Account Management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee the Refurbishment Operation and Shipping.
  • Establish a culture of consistent adherence to quality standards and procedures, and ensure that employees are properly trained.
  • Develop and execute production plans to meet customer delivery expectations.
  • Coordinate plant activities through planning with Logistics and Account Management to ensure objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Establish and monitor overall refurbishment performance for production and quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized manufacturing environment, while ensuring compliance with all safety requirements including OSHA, etc.
  • Lead safety awareness and implement new and innovative techniques to assure a safe working environment.
  • Develop improvements to quality and production processes.
  • Coach and develop team members to be high performance contributors.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure overall inventory accuracy.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, management, operations, engineering or related field.
  • 5 years manufacturing experience.
  • Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs, lean manufacturing and procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and alternate shifts in support of plant operations.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team.
  • Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with ERP/WMS systems.
  • -Experience with Haas machinery a plus.
