About the job
We are in search of an Environmental Scientist/Engineer to assist in leading environmental compliance efforts at our Warrick Operations in Newburgh, IN. Your critical thinking skill and working knowledge of regulations will be used to drive continuous improvement of environmental programs across the plant. By supporting improvement initiatives, you will ensure facility-wide compliance and minimize the environmental risks of our operations. We are seeking individuals who want to use their knowledge and skills to make a positive impact at our site! In this role you will:
- Work with plant operations to meet environmental compliance expectations and requirements
- Act as a working contributor to improve environmental performance metrics
- Lead permitting activities related to the facility's Title V permits
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reporting requirements for assigned programs
- Coordinate and oversee permit required compliance stack testing
- Maintain initial point of contact for regulating agencies as required
- Provide periodic Title V compliance training to various department personnel

Minimum Requirements:- 3-5 years of environmental compliance-related experience
- Associates Degree in degree in engineering, environmental science or equivalent discipline
- Solid understanding of environmental regulations, especially Clean Air Act, Primary Aluminum MACT, NESHAP, NAAQS, and the ability to interpret Title V operating permits for facility requirements
- Must be able to work under moderate direct supervision and manage own workload
- Must be willing to work in a heavy industrial setting
- Demonstrated ability to learn complex industrial/manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science or equivalent discipline highly preferred
- Experience in the Metal Industry
