About the job

The Electrical Maintenance Crew Leader is responsible for supervising, directing and coordinating the work of the mechanics assigned to work under their direction. The role is responsible to provide safe and efficient execution of assigned work as scheduled, supervise crew time, provide problem analysis for equipment history and appropriate response to emergencies. Rotational shift and weekend work will be required. Major activities:
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures on-shift as well as collect data for further analysis by reliability personnel.
  • Lead safety pre-job reviews as well as observations of work completed shift.
  • Acts to maximize the efficiency and quality of the work assigned to their work force and gives timely attention to emergency jobs.
  • Submits accurate reports of work execution activities.
  • Coordinates company policies as they relate to assigned personnel.
  • Maintains close liaison with production, support groups, maintenance planners, engineers and other crew leaders.
About You
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 2 years of experience in heavy industry (aluminum, steel, mining, paper/pulp, etc.).
  • 2 years of experience performing maintenance/troubleshooting on rotating equipment (pumps, gearboxes etc.
  • 1 year of experience troubleshooting hydraulic/pneumatic circuits.
  • Experience using a CMMS.
  • 1 year of experience troubleshooting PLCs.
  • 1 year of experience utilizing process data to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, codes and standards.
  • Ability to work with and lead craft.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on other shifts and/or come in early or stay late as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be required.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products
