The Supply Chain Operations Manager will support assigned customer accounts. This is a leadership role that will require hands on execution. The successful candidate will drive results across AMD on behalf of Supply Chain Operations (SCO) and the customer. Responsibilities include end-to-end instance timeline ownership—holding other internal groups responsible for achieving those timelines and results.
The role also includes engaging with the sales team on escalations and customer communications as it pertains to supply chain; customer issue resolution interacting with planning, finance, sales, BU, engineering and other groups as required. The successful candidate will have a knowledge of customer operations, planning, and finance and will bring a strong business process orientation.The person:
You are a pro at successfully managing customer expectations, and mitigating and resolving customer concerns. Your stellar communication skills include listening to and truly understanding your customers' needs, and effectively communicating with AMD internally to achieve customer satisfaction. You pride yourself in honest and trustworthy dealings with internal/external customers, colleagues and partners.Key responsibilities:
In this role, you'll use your business experience and polish to establish strong, positive relationships with your customers, and effectively prevent and manage escalations. Responsibilities include being the primary SCO contact for the customer as it relates to deliverables and assurance of supply.
Also, you will own the Server/Embedded customer schedule, which includes coordinating with Sales, BU, Engineering and Supply Chain. You will be responsible for process development across all required groups inside AMD.
Add'l responsibilities include:
- Provide gap analysis to show week-on-week and month-on-month changes and inventory reductions of material at customer/Distribution
- Oversee order management from customer PO to supply fulfillment tracking
- Communicate supply fulfillment timeline to sales & customer
- Support material return processes from a customer and financial perspective
- Report weekly on Customer Activities/Issues
- Communicate with customer as needed to support sales
The ideal candidate has a background in supply chain, sales and/or customer operations working for a technology company. Knowledge of (supply chain) planning and product introduction is crucial. Also key is a very strong business presence, with strong horizontal leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, and a commitment to meet customer satisfaction and AMD's business objectives.

- Motivation to sustain high-energy and complex activity levels, in-region and remotely to other regional teams on a world-wide support model.
