  • Drives AmesburyTruth’s success in the weatherseal product category through delivering Engineered solutions to internal and external customers
  • Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, control, and implementation of engineering projects

  • Adhere to applicable industry, business and code standards
  • Research new materials and methods of development
  • Organize and maintain existing engineering records
  • Construct prototypes and confirm designs with Operations / Purchasing / Market

  • Creation and maintenance of Bills of Material within the corporate ERP system
  • Creates well-written product documentation and application notes to communicate key
  • information to customers efficiently and clearly
  • Recommends new products and product modifications
  • Maintain responsibility for generating and executing Engineering Change (ECR/ECO)
  • Manages projects using project management and communication tools
  • Develops and facilitates product training for internal and external customers
  • Performs testing on products as needed for development and customer needs
  • Works with internal team to brainstorm and implement cost savings initiatives


  • Must be proficient in 2D and 3D CAD
  • Ability to create / collaborate detailed project plans
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing methods, processes, and production equipment
  • Ability to work independently as a strong self-starter
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and positive teamwork skills


  • Education: BS degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in Design or Applications Engineering in the Fenestration Industry

  • Experience in LEAN or Six Sigma desired
  • Experience with urethane and extruded thermoplastic materials desired


  • The work performed is conducted in a climate-controlled facility with moderate noise levels that are within OSHA limits
  • Must be able to use normal office equipment (scanner, printer, copier, computer)
  • Must be able to travel domestically & internationally
  • Must be able to lift 25-50lbs occasionally
