This position is for our new Massachusetts office which is in Waltham, MA north-west of Boston convenient to routes 2, 20, 30, 90, 95; and, also
on the Fitchburg Commuter Rail Line (Brandeis/Roberts Stop).
We are looking for a talented and passionate Lead Full Stack Developer who wants to make an impact in the medical space. With over 35 years of
experience in the orthopedic industry, Arthrex is dedicated to providing safe and reproducible solutions for health care professionals. We are seeking an
experienced developer who will help us build and enhance tools and applications that are used by thousands of users worldwide for the latest education in
sports medicine and minimally invasive orthopedic surgery. The Lead Developer on our team will lead the architecture and development of these new and
innovative applications and features.
We use technologies such as Angular, Golang, Swift (iOS), Ruby, Docker, and AWS, but are always evaluating new technologies and patterns that can
have a positive impact on our products. Our ideal candidate has advanced experience creating both web and mobile applications, can contribute to both
the frontend and backend and enjoys continuously assessing new technologies, programming languages, and software. Ideal candidates have experience
with a iOS development using Swift, single page applications (SPA) using Angular, and building and managing APIs/web services using a high-performance
language like Go. In this role, candidates will build emerging business initiatives using a fast-paced iterative approach. This role will help
define architecture, standards and technologies that will guide other teams will use as part of long term support. Qualified candidates have previous
experience demonstrating their ability to lead and mentor other team members on best practices and patterns while building applications.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. 7+ years of hands-on experience developing web/mobile applications that are used in a production environment. Experience writing robust, pragmatic code following design patterns/anti-patterns.
