Role Summary:

  • Lead and innovate the strategy for all TV media buying and product placements for the AoA organization through extensive media knowledge, applied data analytics management and creative solutions

  • Utilize insights from analytical modeling solutions and allocation strategies to elevate Audi Brand Image metrics. Extensive knowledge of metric analysis, application, testing and proven track record of results essential

  • Bring creative media thinking that delivers PR-worthy media ideas to elevate the Audi brand

  • Align media and creative solutions among business owners and agencies to deliver a cohesive customer journey

  • Develop a vision for Audi's product placement strategy in the areas of film, TV and new forms of media that utilizes creative platforms to amplify these partnerships. This will include leading cross functional teams of both internal/external partners in the areas of social media, experiential, retail marketing and public relations

  • Financial management and stewardship of a large TV media budget on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Role Responsibilities:

Media Channel Planning Strategy (60%)

Develop innovative media channel solutions that are PR-worthy and informed by channel modeling analytics to generate gains for AoA Brand Image Metrics.

  • Develop and manage TV/Print/OOH media allocation that align with overall marketing strategy and model positioning

  • Lead strategy on the annual TV plan for Tier 1 and coordinate with Tier 2 inclusive of managing the TV Upfront buying recommendation

  • Stewardship and measurement leading to buying efficiencies and quality of inventory

  • Innovation in branded content for TV media partnerships

  • Co-develop the annual communications platform for media for the annual planning process

  • Communicate with VWoA colleagues to ensure TV Media efficiencies are being leveraged to the fullest extent across departments and brands

  • Global media contract management and liaison with Audi AG.

Media Channel Analytics and Data Modeling (20%)

Lead the management and innovation in modeling solutions that inform the media channel planning approach for greater effectiveness.

  • Identify the best third party solutions for channel planning data insights

  • Lead and manage the modeling process to inform the collective team on marketing investment growth/testing opportunities

  • Provide consultancy to other business areas to lead education on modeling insight application to their marketing plans.

Product Placement Strategy (20%)

Design the vision/strategy for the AoA TV/Film/New Media product placement and branded integration plans to elevate the image of the brand.

  • Evaluate opportunities with current and future partnerships in the area of film, TV, and new forms of video media

  • Creative instincts that develop culturally relevant ideas with agency teams in the form of TV commercials, digital content creation or social experiences

  • Lead on cross-departmental communication plans for product placement moments through alignment/motivation with other AoA departments. Foundational understanding of Public Relations and steps required to garner media attention/press as well as understanding of Experiential/Event Marketing needed for proper amplification of brand actions.

Media Budget Management (5%)

Oversee the largest area of the AoA Marketing budget with responsibility of working closely with AoA Finance on effective process management of the company's investment.

  • Lead the alignment of AoA business owners on budget management for the department in a collaborative process with marketing colleagues.



  • 10+ years of experience in TV advertising including media experience with Blue Chip brand, preferably with a global media agency


  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Advertising or equivalent related business experience

  • Extensive knowledge leading media strategy and media buying – traditional, digital, and new media

Specialized Skills:


  • 10+ years of experience working at a media agency or client specifically in TV media, planning, purchasing and stewarding the buys. National and local TV planning/ buying experience a must

  • Extensive knowledge of data analytics application, econometric/third party data modeling and/or alternative modeling to drive media/investment allocation

  • Ability to develop and present complex analytical strategic recommendations and communicate effectively to senior management as well as colleagues across multiple disciplines

  • Cross functional leadership working with teams, empowering team members and providing enthusiastic solutions on project leadership

  • Challenger mindset and a hunger for innovation.


  • Experience in Automotive marketing/advertising

  • Applied analytics in extensive marketing modeling/allocation

  • Experience working in a retail/brand organization

  • Ability to evaluate product placement opportunities in film, TV/Video includes creative insights for evaluating concepts for brand fit.

Work Flexibility:

  • Expected travel of approximately 25% within a given month for agency and dealer meetings.
