Role Summary
This role works closely with two regions (RDMs / ADs / ASMs and dealers) to identify market opportunities and develop product ordering strategies to achieve sales and share results while minimizing cost and maximizing profit for AoA. This role also aligns closely with the Senior Regional Incentive Planning Specialists to ensure cars are properly built to sell quickly and no aging inventory builds.
Role Responsibilities
Regional Ordering Steering 60%
• As a member of the national ordering team, support achievement of all short- mid and long-term national and regional objectives, including:
• Work with Regions, Incentives, & Product Planning to prepare for each vehicle ordering cycle
• Conduct analysis of monthly vehicle ordering results for assigned Regions with comprehensive predictive modeling of future sales and aging inventory statistics
• Participate in national and regional Product Councils with high level dealer participants
• Manage reservation-based offer as our future business model changes
• The Sr. Ordering Intelligence Specialist will build up complex algorithms to predict future selling rates and steer the development of artificial intelligence and machine learning. The position is required to provide detail analysis on history, but more importantly, predictions on the future. The role works with the Allocation & Ordering Team, Regional Distribution Managers, Product Launch, Product Planning, and Incentive Planning departments to improve vehicle configurations being produced by Audi of America so they are optimized for sale in their intended markets at limited incentives spend.
• Run analysis of dealer ordering each month to verify configurations meet the needs of the market, and work with Region/Area teams to optimize as needed
• Work with Incentive & Product Planning teams to ensure alignment with regional ordering plans
• Key liaison between AoA Ordering and Allocation, Product Planning and Audi Financial Services, developing configurations, which optimize residual values when cars have to be remarketed. This role develops strategies to maximize contribution margin by optimizing builds and model mix together with the retail incentives department
• Develop statistical models & system support requirements. Serve as the business leader for process & system improvements
• Lead market and competitive offering analysis and communication of such within AoA and AoA regional teams and Product Planning.
• Identify new market opportunities for the regions. The position is responsible for coordinating the implementation of such with the Mgr. Ordering and Allocation and the Regional Distribution Managers
• Responsible for forecasting, order steering, and coordination of all equipment optimizations for assigned regions
• Working with two regions, serve as the lead in identifying opportunities and developing ordering behavior strategies to maximize sales performance and incentive effectiveness
Support Responsibilities 20%
• Lead, attend and guide Product Council meetings/calls whenever needed for assigned Regions
• Build relationships with Product Council dealers to establish trust in our processes
• Optimize Refill Allocation configurations for assigned regions for ordering each month
• Lead development of suggested OMD Web Configuration for assigned regions each month
Reporting and Presentations 20%
• Create and maintain competitive vehicle configuration & pricing analysis and align with retail incentive team


• 7-10 years of relevant experience

• Understanding of automotive industry and product planning (brand, region, finance arm, dealership, factory)
• Analytical expertise, including cost-benefit analysis
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Competitive incentive program analysis using JD Power PIN Navigator
• Expert Tableau knowledge
• Expert in technical data management (Excel, Access, Power Point, Oracle, Business Objects, etc.)
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree in business

• Knowledge of portfolio of domestic & import model ranges
Work Flexibility
