Purpose:

This position is responsible for providing first-level frontline technical support of Aultman Health Foundation server production and development domains. These responsibilities include monitoring print queues, ensuring successful backups of all servers, installation, tailoring and configuring of Windows server software and Windows server components. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in server hardware platforms, including hardware RAID configurations and internal hardware server components. Additional experience with Exchange server administration, SCCM administration, Citrix administration is preferred.  The candidate must have experience in configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining, supporting and upgrading servers in a Windows environment.  

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Work with Tier 1 and Tier 2 support personnel in troubleshooting desktop/server relationship issues
  • Setup backup programs on server and ensure they execute successfully
  • Proactively monitor servers for abnormal behavior which could be the result of unknown malware of malicious intent
  • Monitor servers for viruses and keep current server anti-virus signatures current
  • Participate in QA testing and integration of new server and desktop software as needed
  • Handle Exchange server and Office 365 administration
  • Assist with SCCM planning, setup, deployment and maintainability
  • Handle Active Directory, DNS and IIS administration
  • Citrix administration
  • SAN (Storage Area Network) Management, Monitoring, Updating
  • Maintaining current and future requirements for PCI DSS Compliance
  • Other projects/duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
  • Certification in: MCSA, CompTIA Server+, MCSA: SQL Server preferred but not required

Experience:

  • Five plus years advanced desktop support
  • Microsoft Certified Support Engineer or equivalent work experience
  • Working knowledge of virtualization technologies
  • Experienced in creating and maintaining documentation
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Work Conditions:

  • Techs may be assigned any 40-hour shift required for proper customer service.  Each specialist should be prepared to fill-in for another shift in case of vacations, sickness, or shifting priorities.  Other hours may be required by project activity and production support.

  • Sitting/standing/moving intermittently during shift. Some lifting of light equipment will be required
