Position Summary: AV Service Technician AVDG seeks an experienced AV Commercial Service Technician skilled in AV smart enterprise/commercial installation/service projects. You will provide technical support for complex systems while demonstrating professional customer service skills to AVDG clients. You will effectively and efficiently execute on AVDG service calls, engage with escalated client needs, assist with operational requirements and additional projects as assigned. The ideal candidate will use their passion for commercial smart systems integration and experience in service to drive their need for excellence and make a strong impact in contribution as a critical member of the AVDG Service Team. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following: * Servicing and troubleshooting of commercial/conference room systems, smart enterprise systems, including distributed video, audio, shades, and lighting control systems * Provide training to clients on the use of AV systems * Engage in preventative maintenance visits to maintain client systems and equipment delivery * Carry out service tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including, but are not limited to pulling cable, installing connectors, projector mounting / hanging (ceiling mounts), TV installation/de-installation * Conduct field installation of control programs (AMX/Crestron/Extron/Firmware, etc.) -- upload, download, make code changes and troubleshoot. * Interface directly with clients or client representatives to determine the issue(s) and effectively communicate resolution while establishing * Provide detailed reporting after each service call for record-keeping To join our band, you'll need the following experience: * Minimum 2 years in audio/visual technician/service experience in a commercial environment. * Experience with Control systems (AMX, Crestron, Biamp, Q-Sys, Savant, Control4, Extron, Dante) is highly desirable. * Must have advanced computer skills to navigate PC and Mac and possess a deeper understanding of Windows/Mac OS applications. * Familiarity with Apple IOS products (Apple TV, iPad, Airport Express, iPhone, IOS10, etc.) related to daily use for interfacing with and controlling integrated networks. * Industry certifications from Biamp Tesira Forte, Q-SYS level 1, Dante Level 1, Extron EAVA, Crestron, Lutron, and CTS are highly preferred. * Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, and interface with various personalities and cultures are mandatory.
