Works from established programs to perform standard metal cutting operations. Determines appropriate speeds and feeds based on equipment used.
Follows set-up instructions to attach holding fixtures, and insert specified tools in tool magazine according to sequence, depth and size requirements.
Troubleshoots simple programs and makes necessary edits to achieve specifications. Adjusts machine to achieve specified measurements and continuous operation as well as monitors for tool breakage and wear.
Verifies first piece dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
May be required to fabricate simple tooling.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required
Required Skills and Education
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent plus two (2) years general machining experience
Preferred Skills and Education
Trade school certification in CNC operations
