BAE Systems is looking for a hands on Manager to be a Test and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) Process Owner on the Microelectronics Operations team supporting Microwave factories. The selected individual will have direct reports such as ESS Engineers, Product Engineers, or Test Engineers.
The individual will provide support ownership for all aspects of ESS capabilities and processes including MIL-STD-883 screening: thermal cycle/shock, mechanical shock, DC/RF burn-in, and constant acceleration. The individual will advise consistent test strategy across all Microwave Product Streams. The individual will resolve production test problems by conducting troubleshooting activities on multifaceted test and environmental screening equipment.
Tasks require the ability to manage personnel that will isolate and resolve product and test related problems in both hardware and software. Additionally the ability to verify process compliance to the specified requirements, conduct thermal surveys and document procedures.
The tasks also include validate test fixtures and software and accurately characterize the performance of the unit under test.
Successful performance will require driving manufacturing test improvements, production problem resolutions and integrating tests into a lean manufacturing environment
The individual must be able to provide direction to Test Technicians, Product Engineers, and Test Engineers across multiple Microwave Factories.
The individual will work in office spaces and production environment supporting factories.

Typical Education & Experience
Required Skills and Education
•Capable of becoming a team member of the Technical Operations Organization and exhibiting leadership skills that serve the needs of the engineers and the management staff of the factory.
•Previous leadership experience in a high technology environment.
•Demonstrated time management, task tracking, and organizational skills.
•Experience in developing or maintaining test hardware/software and equipment.
•Test fixture design competencies
•Advanced computer skills including MS-Office applications
•Familiarity with functional test procedure development and maintenance
•Experience in conducting design of experiments
•Must be eligible for a DoD security clearance
Preferred Skills and Education
•Bachelor's degree with previous leadership experience.
•Experience in conducting process validation, PFMEA, data analysis
•Familiar with Lean manufacturing techniques
•This position will have direct reports so administrative skills will be needed.
