Women & Infants Services (WIS) is the largest department at Banner University Medical Center- Phoenix. Averaging approximately 5500 deliveries per year, this is a fast-paced environment. BUMC-P is accredited by the Arizona Perinatal Trust as a Level III Center which certifies that we are qualified to take care of the most high-risk patient population. The WIS department at BUMCP is well known for our specialty programs for higher order multiples, placenta accreta management and OB critical care. This position is for a Full-time Night Shift Opening in Antepartum! The Antepartum unit provides multidisciplinary obstetrical care to low and high risk antepartum and high risk postpartum mothers with or without newborns. Inpatient services are available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. On 3ABC, we have a 24 bed Antepartum unit that is capable of caring for intermediate care patients (Antepartum/high risk postpartum). Services are provided to adolescent and adult females with and without complicating medical conditions. The hours will be from 7:00pm - 7:30am for 3 shifts per week which will include weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. You will also have the opportunity utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy an 18%-night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential.

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Relates throughout the interview process the experience, training and education needed to perform the job. Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations. Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area. Banner Registry and Travel physician practice positions require a minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse in a physician practice or an acute care setting.
Bachelors degree preferred.Professional certification preferred.
