SCHEDULE: Full-time

The Manager of Food and Nutrition Services ensures a high level of customer service and patient satisfaction of Food & Nutrition Services.  Oversees food service-related activities, including patient care, retail services, including cafeteria, catering, and quality improvement, sanitation, infection control and all hospital-related activities.

Blake Medical Center is a 383-bed, Joint Commission accredited, tertiary hospital providing award-winning care. Blake provides the community a verified Level II Trauma Center, the only Trauma Center in Manatee County. The hospital also provides one of only six burn centers in the state. Additionally, Blake offers ER 24/7®, certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, Joint Replacement and Spine Institute, Heart and Vascular Center, Center for Breast Health, Limb Saving Institute, Lung Care Center, premier neuroscience services, cancer care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, physical therapy services, complex hand repair, and 24/7 hyperbaric medicine. Blake's extensive range of surgical services includes metabolic and bariatric, microvascular, open heart, neurological, colorectal, urologic, and general surgery. Blake Medical Center's Graduate Medical Education program includes a Transitional Year program as well as an Internal Medicine Residency program and is affiliated with the USF Morsani College of Medicine.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.  Bachelors degree in related field preferred

Experience:

3-5 years food service or related food service operations experience preferably in a healthcare environment to include food preparation, distribution, service and record maintenance.  2+ years supervisory experience.

Licensure:

Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preffered,  Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Training:

Serve-Safe Certification or equivalent as approved by state of Florida required, or must become certified within 90 days of employment.
