Visual Merchandising Coordinator (Mid-Atlantic Region)

The primary function of the Visual Merchandising Coordinator is to create, develop and maintain a strong visual impact in an assigned group of stores. The Visual Merchandise Coordinator is a part of a professional team. Who plays a vital role in all Bob's stores and is responsible for the overall visual appeal and excitement for our customers, ultimately impacting sales. This role will be responsible for the following store locations: 

Remote NJ:  Deptford, NJ, Cherry Hill, NJ, Mays Landing, NJ, Langhorne, NJ

Remote DE – Wilmington, Dover

Remote MD – North Baltimore – Towson, White Marsh, Aberdeen

Remote PA – SE PA - Harrisburg, Lancaster, York

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and execute unique and dynamic room settings within the corporate vision that sets us apart from other major furniture retailers
  • Ensure visual consistency throughout each store
  • Identify and correct all visual inconsistencies
  • Develop and maintain the proper classification and adjacency flow by department
  • Maximize selling space and merchandising potential in each store
  • Review sales by classification before determining any major floor moves to properly effect sales
  • Continually critique and challenge your own merchandising approach to ensure visual excellence
  • Effectively communicate with district and store line management: Merchandising concerns and practices
  • Ensure stores are aware and adhere to all corporate directives
  • Develop constructive relationships throughout the stores
  • Effectively communicate with Visual Merchandising Manager:
    • Recommendations to improve our merchandising approach
    • Merchandising challenges you may experience for guidance
    • Monthly store by store recap of accomplishments and concerns
    • Submit all expense reports in a timely manner for approval

Required Qualifications

  • Strong product knowledge of all furniture lines and accessories
  • Confident in variety of merchandising situations/challenges and effectively address them in a timely manner
  • Strong knowledge of visual merchandising techniques and strategies
  • Ability to accept merchandising direction for self-improvement and company objectives
  • Strong influencing, communication and decision making skills
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Ability to travel when necessary for existing and new store opening
  • Some computer knowledge required Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of prior Retail Merchandising/Display experience in a multi-store environment
  • Associate's Degree preferred
