Campaign and Contingency Planner, Senior
Serve as a primary point of contact on Army explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) and counter-IED (C-IED) aspects of campaign and contingency plans, orders, policies, and programs. Conduct mission analysis, including creating staff estimates, courses of action, and decision support templates for base plans, annexes, appendices, and other products. Coordinate with Combatant Commands, Special Operations, other service component commands, and interagency officials to properly plan, prepare, and resource strategic and operational requirements. Participate in or facilitate Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), bureaus, boards, cells, conferences, and working groups (B2C2WG) events, and information paper development. Conduct operational and strategic assessments, respond to requests for information (RFIs) from higher headquarters, and prepare and submit RFIs. Participate in the identification, analysis, and evaluation of policies, processes, and systems related to EOD, C-IED, and improvised threats. Solve complex information requirements problems via a combination of analytic judgement and proven analytic practices and prepare briefings and report on analysis methodologies and results. This position requires the ability to travel.
-5+ years of experience with the DoD in Joint planning
-4+ years of experience in the Indo-Pacific AOR
-2+ years of experience with the DoD in Joint or combined operations
-Knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) and Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP)
-Ability to travel and participate in planning events up to 10% of time
-BA or BS degree
-Experience with EOD and C-IED
-SAMS Graduate or Army FA59
-Former Field Grade Officer or Senior Enlisted
