We have the technology, but do we know how to use it? In an industry where “Cloud” is sometimes synonymous with “genie,” it's important to have someone on your team who knows how to engineer Cloud-based and hybrid on-premise solutions. That's why we need you, an engineer who knows how hardware and software components fit together and integrate with Cloud-based resources, to help us modernize mission critical federal Cloud computing environments, including Software as a Service (SaaS) products, Web applications, and managed services systems.
As a Cloud engineer, you'll manage mission critical system infrastructure in a Cloud environment. You'll recommend tools and capabilities based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, Cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You'll work with your clients, development teams, and architects to inform strategy and architecture design. This is an opportunity to stay on top of the latest Cloud resources as you prototype using multiple techniques and new technologies. You'll be able to gain experience in Cloud infrastructure, monitoring and automation, and Cloud native architectures. -Experience with deploying, operating, and maintaining Web-based applications in a Cloud environment
-Experience with operating and maintaining an Oracle database
-Experience with designing Cloud environments using DevOps and Continuous Integration and Deployment tools, including maintaining and configuring the Atlassian stack
-Experience with designing and supporting applications using Drupal 8 content management systems
-Experience with developing, supporting, and administering Web applications using technologies, including SharePoint 2013, Drupal 8 and LAMP, Microsoft .NET 4.0, SQL Server 2008, RHEL 7.x, CSS 3.0, XML, Windows Server 2016, HTML, and jQuery
-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Project
-Knowledge of allocating, configuring, and monitoring Cloud-based resources, including virtual machines, storage, and networking components
-Ability to debug and resolve functional, communications, performance, and security issues impacting operations
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree
Nice to Have:
-Experience with supporting Microsoft Dynamics and SharePoint in a Cloud environment
-Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure Government Cloud environments
-Experience with supporting Oracle in a Cloud environment
-Possession of excellent analytical, quantitative, and presentation skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Ability to anticipate customer requirements and build strategic plans
-Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner Certification
