Corporate Strategy & Planning Research Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Serve as a key member of our corporate strategy and planning team, perform a wide range of research and analysis activities. Leverage Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint expertise, including applying strict attention to detail. Exploit financial, market, and contract data sets. Assist with market research, competitive intelligence, and data analysis in support of strategic activities. Work closely with a small group of peers and senior leaders on high impact projects across the firm.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience at a defense consulting or research firm

-Experience with conducting primary source research

-Experience with industry research tools, including Bloomberg Government (Bgov), Infobase, GovWin, and Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS)

-Experience with Microsoft Excel for creating analytical models, including complex formulas, macros, pivots, and conditional formatting

-Ability to synthesize large amounts of information, identify issues, recommend solutions proactively, and apply problem-solving and analytical expertise

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Tableau a plus

-Experience with financial industry

-Experience with structuring, modeling, and analyzing complex data sets and delivering insights and recommendations

-Experience in conducting competitive intelligence at both the strategic and tactical level

-Ability to prioritize work streams appropriately and move quickly among differing tasks

-Ability to communicate findings clearly, and provide detailed recommendations to senior audiences
