Data Modeler, Senior

Key Role:

Serve as a data modeler and define or document conceptual data models across enterprise master data, transaction data, and informational data. Work with the data team, including SMEs, database architects, and data stewards to develop the conceptual models that will serve as the basis for subsequent and ongoing data availability, performance, security, and quality objectives of a Digital Transformation program. Ensure the proper alignment of the physical and logical data models with use cases, object. Work with business resources and data stewards to identify “TO BE” enterprise data models that will model the data as it should be.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience with data analysis and data modeling
  • Experience with using a 3rd NF approach and data modeling tools, including Erwin
  • Experience in working with data management concepts and activities including industry best practices for data sourcing, key data elements, and data quality
  • Experience with developing and maintaining logical and physical data models and data dictionaries
  • Experience with developing standardized data vocabularies across large organizations and multiple business units and data issue identification, analysis, and remediation
  • Ability to work within standardized and non-standardized processes to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Ability to create and maintain data flows and documents using tools that include Visio, as necessary
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with working in agile environments
  • Experience with design, development, and support for digital transformation and data modernization efforts
  • Experience with using Informatica product suites, including Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) and AXON
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently on assigned tasks
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including facilitating information discovery sessions with business leaders to extract all appropriate terminology and context and focusing on accuracy, consistency, and standardized terminology
