Field Service Representative, Senior
Serve as a Field Service Representative (FSR) for a shipboard laser system, including working on the latest in Directed Energy technology supporting government clients. Work on complex technical problems to provide highly innovative solutions, develop advanced technology ideas, and guide the system into a final product. Leverage expertise in major components of the laser system to conduct advanced troubleshooting and maintenance procedures. Develop skills in systems engineering, including rapid acquisitions and fielding systems aboard Navy ships and laser technology, integration, and testing. This position requires travel.
-4+ years of experience with operating basic general-purpose electronic test equipment (GPETE)
-4+ years of experience with troubleshooting electronics systems to the faulty subsystem, card, or component level
-Knowledge of Navy Maintenance Requirement cards (MRC) and Preventative Maintenance Standards (PMS), including red lining
-Knowledge of laser system operations and subsystem inter-relationship
-Ability to communicate with engineers to resolve technical problems or follow complex technical repair and test procedures and document results
-Ability to travel 50% of the time, up to 3 months, in a maritime environment
-BS degree in Engineering, CS, or a technical field or 6+ years of experience as a Navy Fire Controlman Petty Officer First/Second Class (FC1/2) or Navy Electronics Technician First/Second Class (ET1/2)
-Experience with computer networks and components
-Experience with teaching small groups of people detailed system specification on system operations
-Knowledge of fiber optics
-Knowledge of Heating Ventilation and Air Control (HVAC), water cooling, dry air, and generator components related to support sensitive electronic systems and components
-Possession of excellent written and oral communication skills
