Graphics Designer, Mid
Design and develop complex graphics and illustrations for use in technical materials, manuals, and publications. Operate computer hardware and software to prepare, revise, print, and store text, illustrations, graphs, and charts, including equipment, such as video cameras for the design and production of photos and videotape, as needed. Formulate a concept and render illustration and detail from models, sketches, memory, written or verbal instructions, and imagination. Perform inking and paste-up, as needed and select type, draw lettering, lay out material, or perform related duties. Determine the style, technique, and medium best suited to produce desired effects and conform with reproduction requirements or follow specific instructions regarding these variables. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.
-5+ years of experience with graphics design or visual communications
-Experience with formatting data into visually appealing layouts
-Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud (CC)
-Ability to make final reports interactive to upload to the Web or act as standalone interactive PDFs
-Ability to show a portfolio showcasing broad design expertise
-Ability to be a self-starter and multitask across multiple projects and clients in fast-paced and team-based environments
-Active TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree
-Experience with infographics and data visualization
-Experience with multimedia and Web design
Knowledge of information architecture and usability
-Possession of excellent presentation, interpersonal, customer support, and collaboration skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-MA or MS degree
