Human Resources Data Scientist

We have an opportunity for you to use your leadership and analytical skills to support enterprise-wide, data-driven strategic workforce planning for a large DoD organization by leveraging a data science approach to Human Resources (HR) data. You'll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You'll mentor teammates and develop sophisticated data models and insightful data visualizations that enable senior leaders to manage a specialized, highly-educated, and diverse workforce across multiple programs and locations. You'll support a multi-disciplinary HR team to gain more actionable workforce insights from existing HR data and explore or develop areas for future research. You'll create efficiencies in the collection, storage, analysis, and reporting of HR data. You'll provide your customer with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it. Join us as we use data science for good.

-2+ years of experience with using VBA, macros in Microsoft Excel, R, Python, SPSS, or SAS for data analysis
-2+ years of experience with data visualization using Tableau, Power BI, or a similar tool
-Experience with data mining, identifying analytic insight in data, and developing briefings, training materials, and other communications to present findings to non-technical audiences
-Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques
-Ability to build complex extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) pipelines to clean and fuse data together
-Ability to create pivot tables, formulas, and sophisticated macros and data models using Microsoft Excel VBA
-Ability to be a self-starter with initiative and present complex information to non-technical audiences
-BA or BS degree
Nice If You Have:
-4+ years of experience in a professional work environment
-Ability to work in ambiguity using appreciative inquiry to refine or redefine analytic requirements
-MS degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Business, or a related field
-Human Capital Workforce Planning Certification
