Mission Planning Specialist

Key Role:

Provide expert planning support, authorship, coordination, tracking, development, updating, and refinement of operations plans, applying doctrinal processes to accomplish both deliberate and contingency planning tasks in a classified, complex environment featuring an interagency mix of mission partners. Assist with planning relationships with other organizations to coordinate, integrate, synchronize, and facilitate potential plan activation. Update an integrated and synchronized Continuity of Operations (COOP) plan to ensure the organization can quickly resume mission essential tasks if the client's primary location is rendered untenable. Conduct operations planning to support and complement mission partners in their planning processes.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience in planning or operations, including aspects of multi-functional coordination, integration, and synchronization

-Experience with applying applicable military or homeland security planning doctrine to specific situations

-Knowledge of planning considerations for continuity of operations and emergency management

-Knowledge of doctrinal processes to develop and write deliberate and contingency plans

-Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with frequent short-fused suspenses to produce products or other outcomes

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working in the military or homeland security

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree
