Network/Cloud Engineer

The Challenge:

You'll maintain responsibility for supporting the planning, strategy, and engineering of network and Cloud infrastructures, including the implementation and design of software and tools to support it, monitoring the performance of systems, and supporting troubleshooting for performance issues when they present. You'll integrate front-end systems, back-end systems, Cloud-based delivery, and networks on multiple environments and enclaves. You will demonstrate experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in networking and network security and oversee application design and deployment in traditional and Cloud-based environments, including public, private, and hybrid Clouds using automated DevOps pipelines. You'll act as an advisor to organizations for developing Cloud strategy and stay up-to-date on the latest trends and issues. You'll design, build, install, and maintain a Cloud infrastructure platform for the Air Force operations community and assume the role of a technical lead on deployment projects, including hands-on configuration of complex components. You'll support strategic vision to establish near-term goals for Cloud computing and services, apply technical expertise, and help to solve complex problems on network- and Cloud-specific activities.

You Have:

-3+ years of experience with network or systems, operations, procedures, and troubleshooting

-Experience with Cisco, Linux, and VMware systems

-Knowledge of routing, switching, and firewall technologies

-Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED

-CompTIA Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with virtualization and containerization in VMware, KVM, Virtual Box, and Docker

-Experience with automation software in Ansible, Puppet, Chef, CloudFormation, and cfengine

-Experience with scripting in PowerShell scripts and Python

-Knowledge of networking in Air Force operational network layers and TCP/IP

-BS degree in CS, Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or MIS preferred

-CCNA or CCNP Certification
