Project/Acquisition Analyst, Mid
Apply expertise in acquisition, project management, and financial management to advise and assist the government with acquisition planning, execution, and management of contract and intergovernmental actions. Apply comprehensive knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support customers in acquisition process analysis and improvement, policy analysis, and procedures related to a threat reduction program. Devise innovative strategies for deploying and implementing new acquisition policy analysis initiatives and measuring implementation effectiveness. Use quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques to assess system acquisition process issues and develop risk reduction and mitigation approaches for improving acquisition and program planning, control, and execution through the full acquisition life cycle.
-5+ years of experience in a professional work environment
-3+ years of experience with acquisition processes and programs
-Experience with the complete Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
-Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DoD 5000 series regulations and laws, executive orders, statutes, policies, and principles of acquisition planning
-Ability to prioritize multiple tasks independently or as an integrated member of a larger project team
-BA or BS degree in Business, Management, Engineering, International Affairs, or Life Science
-3+ years of experience with project and financial management
-Experience with working on non-proliferation weapon issues
-Experience with preparing briefings and reports appropriate for senior government officials
-Experience in assisting project teams with developing acquisition documentation according to government acquisition policy
-Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level I or Level II Certification in Contracts or Program Management or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
