Technical Solutions Engineering Manager

Key Role:

Maintain technical and schedule responsibility within a diverse engineering program portfolio. Leverage existing expertise in mechanical and hardware engineering to provide oversight for cutting-edge product development and systems engineering projects. Interface with program managers and senior leaders to communicate technical risk, design intent and corrective actions. Work with senior leads to develop an engineering business strategy and meet with clients to solve complex problems. Work to leverage existing team capabilities and highlight potential growth opportunities to solve unique client problems.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with developing technical solutions to solve complex problems

-3+ years of experience with leading an individual function within an engineering or research and development team

-3+ years of experience in interfacing with internal or external clients, customers, or end users

-1+ years of experience with leading engineering or R&D projects

-Experience with contributing to technical proposals

-Experience with generating technical documentation for marketing and capture such as whitepapers and datasheets

-Knowledge of mechanical and hardware development

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with multiple engineering disciplines, including software, hardware, electrical, and mechanical

-Experience in communicating and working with cross-location or distributed engineering teams

-Experience in working with Agile development

-Experience with basic research and development

-Experience with ISO or a similar process control system

-Ability to estimate schedule and cost engineering activities accurately

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing, such as a history of publications

-Secret clearance

-MS degree preferred; PhD degree a plus
