Environmental Engineer, Mid
Key Role:
Provide technical analysis of designs, operations, and procedures associated with launch vehicle ground support equipment and hardware, facilities, and processing in compliance with DoD requirements. Assess hazardous materials management practices to ascertain compliance with the provisions of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, requirements, and standards. Conduct research on the environmental impact of proposed construction projects, analyze scientific data, and study hazardous-waste management. Ensure protection of wildlife, compliance with regulations, preventing environmental damage, and clean up hazardous sites.
Basic Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience as an environment specialist or with launch vehicles or ballistic missiles
-Knowledge of proposed federal, state, and local environmental requirements, regulations, laws, and standards to evaluate potential impacts to operations and provide impact analyses
-Ability to generate and assess environmental compliance documentation
-Secret clearance
-BS degree in Mathematics, Science, Technology, or Engineering
Additional Qualifications:
-BS degree in ME or Aerospace Engineering
