Network Engineer

Key Role:

Support network and systems engineering efforts. Analyze local and wide area network systems, including planning, evaluating, and technologies best suited to meet requirements. Create detailed documentation for network architecture, and end-user configuration instruction. Facilitate the acquisition of hardware, software, and licensing as-needed. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with IP networking design and architecture

  • 3+ years of experience with virtual server environments

  • Experience with Microsoft server platforms

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Visio

  • Knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and intrusion detection or prevention technologies

  • Secret clearance

  • BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, IS, Cybersecurity, MIS, Aerospace, or Engineering Technology

  • Security + Certification

  • CCNA Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with DoD networks

  • Experience with scripting languages, including Powershell and Bash

  • Knowledge of Cisco, Linux and VMware systems

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills 

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
