Test Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Analyze system requirements and concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plans and procedures in preparation for test readiness reviews and assist with preparing briefing packages for presentation to management on the status of all test activities. Contribute to government Test and Evaluation (T&E) strategy and master plans for testing communications systems in a laboratory and operationally relevant environment by assisting with the development of Critical Technical Parameters (CTPs), Critical Operational Issues (COI), or Critical Operational Issue Criteria (COICs) from the operational and capability requirements. Provide specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance area. Contribute to the activities of the T&E division of an acquisition product office. Work with test organizations to support AMF T&E program integration plans and plan and conduct activities associated with the T&E Working IPT with members from the user community and the DoD T&E community, including the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Director, Operational Test and Evaluation (OSD(DOT&E)), Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Developmental Test and Evaluation (DASD(DT&E)), Deputy Under Secretary of the Army for Test and Evaluation (DUSA-TE), the acquisition community, and US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). Write Statements of Work (SOWs) based on key performance parameters for test activities for the purpose of obtaining cost estimates from DoD test facilities. This position is located in Aberdeen, MD.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with conducting test and evaluation activities and documenting results

  • Experience with Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) development and staffing process

  • Experience with the preparation of strategy, studies, plans, and analyses in support of test outcomes

  • Experience with communications systems testing and with writing and supporting Army test plans and summary reports

  • Experience with the T&E requirements of the defense acquisition system and tactical networks

  • Knowledge of US Army programs and initiatives related to acquisition and fielding of communications systems

  • Knowledge of US Army requirements development process

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with developmental and operational test, production qualification test, reliability verification test, and waveform standard conformance test

  • Experience with the Army's Tactical Network program

  • Experience with Army PEO-C3T

Clearance:
