The Lead Echo Tech will demonstrate concern and empathy while performing procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.
- Prepare and position patients and equipment is a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures.
- Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images.
- Maintain proactive, effective communication with patient and radiologist regarding any and all findings patient histories and test results as appropriate.
- Collaborate and confer with all colleagues and members of the healthcare team.
REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Graduate of an accredited School of Cardiovascular Sonography
Experience: Two years experience in licensed field and at least three years echocardiography experience.
Licensure: Cardiac Sonography Certification through either Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS) or The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDCS)
Training: Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association is required upon hire.
Skills: Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
