The Associate - Marketing Analyst, Integrated Marketing is responsible for informing the development of preference and sales driving omni-channel marketing strategies and campaigns through consumer insights and  effective measurement of advertising, marketing and communications. The ideal candidate will be a proven retail marketing analyst with strong strategic thinking capabilities, analytical skills and insights to identify short and long-term growth opportunities for the business. Must possess a keen marketing / consumer curiosity and strong leadership skills to pursue each project with enthusiasm and passion. The role will report to the Sr. Manager, Integrated Marketing.  

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:Seeking a Marketing Analyst, Integrated Marketing to effectively measure the ROI of advertising, marketing and communications strategies and leverage consumer/retail and marketing insights and trends to inform the development of omni-channel marketing, promotional offer strategies and campaigns. 

  • Develop a strong understanding of the buybuy BABY brand and the BABY Registry business to support the overall strategic development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns.  

  • Develop strong relationships and cross-functional influence with internal teams to drive collaboration on marketing programs.  

  • Develop, champion and drive targeting and marketing strategies that will improve vehicle performance and customer performance metrics. 

  • Measure/analyze marketing campaigns, promotional activity and other initiatives to develop facts and tools that assist with future strategizing, planning and decision-making.  

  • Drive testing initiatives and learning agendas including creative A/B testing. 

  • Analyze market data to identify opportunities and proactively communicate them to the team. 

  • Effectively and proactively communicate trends, marketing and testing objectives, results, major insights and strategic recommendations to gain alignment with key constituents with a focus on print and digital. 

  • Develop dashboards that provide insights and visualization into program and channel performance relative to KPIs, projections, and historical performance. 

  • Participate in cross functional business team as marketing lead dedicated to coupon effectiveness driving promotional strategy. 

  • Work cross-functionally with analytics and channel operations team on testing agendas, modeling, analysis and reporting for marketing programs and channels. 

  • Manage lead generation and acquisition strategies for registry program including identifying partners, negotiating fees/contracts, tech implementation, data monitoring, budget reconciliation and ROI. 

  • Collaborate with CRM team in development of a comprehensive CRM lifecycle contact strategy and marketing messages that drive sales and customer response.  

  • Develop and maintain data and reporting processes. 

  • Work with Consumer Insights team to conduct research regarding marketing strategies and consumer opinions to understand customer preference and behavior. 

  • Use consumer research studies to unlock actionable insights about the customer base to provide innovative recommendations that drive sales and consumer engagement. 

  • Collect and analyze data regarding customer preferences, demographics, buying habits and needs to better identify market potential and factors influencing product demand. 

  • Provide the marketing team with regular analysis and business/marketing recommendations based on bbB mix/NPD results. 

  • Provide the marketing team with regular performance recaps based on sales reports and highlight success and opportunities at the brand and channel level to support monthly campaign and promotional planning. 

  • Work on marketing special projects, including process improvement, process tool development and marketing campaigns as directed. 

  • Gather information on competitors, and conduct analysis on their sales, prices and methods of distribution and marketing to thoroughly learn about the competition. 

  • Keep a pulse on industry marketing and retail trends and constantly be thinking of ways to enhance buybuy BABY's offerings to remain relevant and innovative in the market.  


The successful candidate will bring the following proficiencies and capabilities:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or Statistics  

  • 5+ years marketing experience within a retail or other fast-paced setting.  

  • Expertise in mathematics, statistics and marketing 

  • A proven track record working in CPG / retail, ideally with experience in data analytics, POS data or consumer insights. 

  • Understanding of market research, retail trends and best practices across all marketing channels.  

  • Highly motivated, proactive, resourceful and results-oriented individual with a high level of enthusiasm and passion for retail marketing.  

  • He/she will want to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment and will be willing to “pitch in” to help with ad hoc tasks within both the marketing team and other departments.  

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence and persuade others with diplomacy and tact; work with numerous partners of differing levels, flexing interaction style as required.  

  • Assertive, strong examples of "ownership" capabilities/strengths in facilitating projects, overcoming obstacles and challenges (i.e., problem-solving experience) 

  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills; ability to work independently.  

  • Ability to multi-task responsibilities and tasks simultaneously and to complete projects efficiently and accurately.  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel (pivot tables, Vlookup, functions, charting, etc.), and PowerPoint (graphic presentations, selling stories, etc.)  

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to leverage on data to develop strategy/decisions. 

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.  

  • Working knowledge of/with CRM programs and understanding of MQL/SQL 

  • Familiarity working with data tools and platforms including Omniture, NPD, Tableau 

  • You are familiar with putting together data from multiple sources to tell a story. 

  • Proven ability to interpret data into insights and key selling points that will drive brand and category growth.  

  • Intellectual curiosity - you're not afraid to continuously question data, asking deep dive questions and pursuing answers that may not be clear. 

  • Ability to think creatively and outside the box to mine insights and identify innovative solutions.
