This is a full time, permanent Electrical Engineer opening is at the world's leading manufacturer in their industry. The company owns their market share, which is a niche area. They have the dominant market-share in North America. They have a significant market share around the rest of the world. Benefits are great and pay is very competitive. The owners of the company have been around a very long time. They are a small, stable, privately-held, flexible company. They have a very flexible environment for people who are willing to work hard and don't get pigeon-holed in a narrow field. Employees have a big impact on products. This could grow into a Project Lead or Project Manager role as the company continues to add employees. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate are as follows:

  • Analyzing and designing circuits
  • Documenting
  • Creating PCB design
  • Developing embedded software
  • Overseeing projects
  • Assisting and supporting sales, marketing and customers
  • Training
  • Traveling up to 10%, mostly in Wisconsin

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Electrical engineering or electronics engineering experience
  • Experience designing embedded firmware
  • A strong work ethic
  • Ability to learn a large amount of new material
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, mostly in Wisconsin

Preferred but not required backgrounds will include any of the the following:

  • Experience with power utilities or power electronics is preferred but not required
  • Experience designing analog and digital logic and control circuits is preferred but not required
  • Experience with PCB design tools is preferred but not required
  • Experience analyzing and selecting inductors, resistors and capacitors is preferred but not required
  • Experience designing and programming embedded firmware is preferred but not required
