Position Type: PRN
Scheduled Hours per 2 week Pay Period: On-Call - Weekends, Holidays, covering sick time and vacation
Primary Location: NE > GRAND ISLAND > ST FRANCIS

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Maintain daily courier pick up, mileage, and vehicle inspection logs.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable vehicle at all times.
  • Must show proper use of cell phone and/or beeper where and when indicated.
  • Comply with all compliance regulations regarding the transportation of diagnostic specimens.
  • Comply with all safety and emergency response equipment and instruction as needed.
  • Become knowledgeable about all job-related portions of CHI Health's driver safety program. 
  • Comply with all driving laws and regulations.
  • Follow all rules and regulations regarding accident reporting.
  • Report all concerns of clients to Laboratory Lead.
  • Maintains pick-ups and deliveries in a timely manner.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable appearance at all times.
  • Participates in all safety, security, and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the department.
  • Demonstrates work practices consistent with CHI Health and department-specific safety, security, and infection control policies.
  • Must have ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.
Qualifications Education: 
  • High School Diploma preferred
Licenses & Certifications: 
  • Valid drivers license required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
  • Safely operate vehicle.  
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of applicable laws, guidelines, and professional standards.  
  • Excellent communication skills.  
  • Must demonstrate personal traits of a high-level commitment, motivation and energy; team orientation; professionalism; trust; personal honesty and integrity.  Demonstrate an appreciation of the high value of others, as well as an attitude of dignity and respect toward others.
