About this unit:
  • Our team is committed to patient safety, employee satisfaction, and above all else the care and improvement of human life
  • By joining our team you will have the opportunity to provide excellent pharmaceutical care in a rapidly growing acute care facility amidst an ever changing healthcare environment.

  Responsibilities:
  • Under direct supervision of the Pharmacy Director and /or Supervisor, reviews, interprets and processes medication orders. 
  • Enters orders into the computer system and fills required doses, prepares and/or directly supervises the preparation of IV admixtures, checks all work done by technicians and clerks, and compounds medications as needed. 
  • Communicates with nursing and medical personnel regarding medication orders or drug therapy issues and reviews medication profiles.

Qualifications

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • Bachelor of Science of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree required.
  • License to practice pharmacy in the State of Missouri (or eligibility) required.
  • 3-5 years experience precepting students.
  • 3-5 years hospital experience or completion of PGY-1 residencey.
  • Board Certified or Board Certification completed within 1 year of employment with Centerpoint Medical Center.
  • ACLS/BLS current certification or completion within 6 months or employment with Centerpoint Medical Center.
