Our Northwest HealthCare campus, located six miles west of Christian Hospital in Florissant, offers the community 24-hour emergency care as well as a variety of outpatient services and physician practices.

The Physician Practice and Development department directs all marketing, communications, and physician sales/recruitment plans and their successful implementation throughout the Hospital.


Overview

Role Purpose

Responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing physician growth strategies (primary care and sub-specialties) are developed and integrated into the facility and service line specific strategic and business development plans. Position acts as expert in physician engagement strategies across all service lines and oversees physician collaborative agreements. Provides oversight for development of strategic plans for physician relations/sales. Provides oversight and coordination for all physician recruitment. Participate effectively in the development of institutional strategic plans and work independently under limited supervision to analyze specific business opportunities, identify tactical alternatives, develop consensus regarding preferred options and prepare detailed program and financial plans.

Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Directs overall operations of physician services and digestive disease service line. Sets strategic direction and ensures necessary resources are in place to support the department's goals.
  • Leads the development, coordination, and implementation of primary care and sub-specialty physician growth strategies, and ensures strategies are integrated into the facility and service line specific strategic and business development plans.
  • Supports physician engagement strategies across all service lines and oversees physician collaborative agreements. Provides oversight for development of strategic plans for physician relations/sales, recruitment, and retention.
  • Improves clinical quality and safety. Creates innovation and actively integrates performance improvement initiatives into all services.
  • BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
