KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT ANALYST



WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? Responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation including but not limited to Application System Overviews, Infrastructure diagrams, Implementation Instructions, Knowledge Base articles, Comprehensive Document Store entries, Configuration Management Database entries, Production Support metrics and internal training materials for the Technical Services team in support of the bank's technology base. Technology and Innovation Division
As a member of City National's Technology & Innovation group, you will drive, develop, and maintain solutions for clients and colleagues. This is an exciting time of technology advancement and innovation across the bank, particularly within our technology teams.



WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Responsible for the development, maintenance, management, and delivery of technical information for BATS systems.
  • Collaborates with development, project management, engineering, network operations and production support in identifying documentation needs and in structuring documentation to enable quicker time to incident resolution and more comprehensive retention of institutional knowledge.
  • Responsible for the development, maintenance, management, and delivery of technical information or documentation to the appropriate audiences in the appropriate corporate standard formats via print and online mediums.
  • Responsible for creating the taxonomy associated with the new library structure including but not limited to Policies, Standards, Processes, Procedures, Work Instructions and Diagrams.
  • Develops templates for the taxonomy and oversees the transition from the current to the new library structure.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must-Have*

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a knowledge management specialist, technical writer or in a technology support/training role
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a corporate enterprise environment.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in utilization of industry standard documentation or knowledge management tools (ex: Sharepoint, Service Now)

Skills and Knowledge

  • Understanding of development lifecycle
  • Familiarity with basic programming terminology and methodology
  • Familiarity with basic SQL Server terminology and database concepts
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with an Ability to express complex technical concepts in both business and technical terms.
  • Good knowledge of project management technique.
  • Ability to self-manage multiple concurrent documentation projects and keep supervisors appraised of progress.
  • SharePoint 2007 & 2010 Administration preferred
  • SharePoint Designer preferred
  • Service Now experience preferred
Compensation Starting base salary: $37.96 - $60.64 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
