Chippenham Hospital is looking for a dynamic, outgoing and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our Hyperbaric Oxygen Unit. Do you have at least one year of clinical experience on a Hyperbaric Oxygen Unit? If you are a proactive, goal oriented team player in search of extra shifts or a flexible schedule the Respiratory Therapist I PRN position is perfect for you. The duties and responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist I PRN include, but are not limited to:
• Conducts a thorough patient history and medication review for clinic and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
• Conducts a thorough wound assessment, including wound measurements, wound cultures, transcutaneous oxygen measurements and photography.
• Educates the patient, family and hospital staff in regards to the Wound Healing Center and appropriate tests and procedures.
• Facilitates outpatient and inpatient care in relationship to wound healing by communicating with physicians, staff nurses, physical therapy, diabetes care, nutritional support and other ancillary departments as needed.
• Documents care, education, physician orders and communications per hospital and Wound Healing Center policies and procedures.
• Follows all procedures to safely dive HBO patients.
• Adheres to policy and procedures for HBO treatments

REQUIRED: Current Virginia respiratory therapist license, current CPR , ACLS Certification. Hyperbaric Oxygen experience
PREFERRED: One year of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist
REQUIRED: Graduate of accredited program with current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Virginia
PREFERRED: Certified Respiratory Therapist
