Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

As Software Development Engineer of Test, you will be a part of a small but growing team of hardworking people that are the primary driver for raising the quality of our products and services. Drive quality and excellence through a detailed and relentless approach to automation.  Our environment consists of modern APIs, microservices, web applications, third-party services integrations, cloud infrastructure, and legacy APIs.


Job description

Software Development Engineer in Test, you can look forward to:

Executing manual and automated regression tests.

Diagnosing failures across a complex integration environment.

Working with development to scope and test new features.

Writing test plans and test cases.

Coordinating with distributed testing teams to ensure release deadlines are met..

Creating automated tests that drive lab robots and troubleshooting existing tests

Updating Java-based test frameworks to accommodate changes and new features.

Creating and maintaining Jenkins pipelines and jobs to manage automation tasks.

Identifying testing gaps and strategies for filling those gaps.

Writing and executing automated test code for native apps leveraging the latest open-source packages and technologies.

Writing functional, integration, and customer workflows (end-to-end) automation to validate product functionality and integration with dependencies.

Developing, updating, and executing software test plans, automated frameworks and programs.

Planning and carrying out performance, load, and stress tests.

Participating in design, architecture, and code reviews.

Implementing, executing, and debugging automated test scripts using various technology and tools.

Contributing solutions to solve technical problems with an eye toward.

Demonstrating proficiency in writing technical documentation.

Working within an agile development process (Scrumban) from a team workflow perspective.

Implementing test automation frameworks within a continuous integration and delivery pipeline.

Analyzing functional requirements and development stories into automated validation.

Leading automation efforts and share best practices in test automation with the company.

Basic Qualifications:

5-8 years of QA and/or Software Development experience.

4+ year of experience writing automated test scripts in SOUP UI, .net, C#, Javascript, Python, Java

3+ years' experience in CI/CD integrations for test automation

Proficiency with at least one modern object-oriented programming language.

Experience testing REST API calls.

Experience in writing advanced level SQL queries.

Strong understanding of REST/HTTP/SOAP and JSON.

Experienced with Windows and Linux

Experience in using different tools such as  MySQL, Jenkins, git

Ability to set up test environments and test beds

Understand data dependencies


Preferred Qualifications:

Industry Certifications in Quality Assurance, Agile Scrum, or Public Cloud.

Strong understanding of software/testing methodologies such as TDD, data-driven testing.

Experience working with cloud computing technologies, e.g. – Azure

Familiar with container technologies, e.g. - Docker, Kubernetes

Strong knowledge of common web protocols, networking, and systems.

Power BI experience

Experience with implementing continuous integration and delivery concepts (CI/CD) using Jenkins.

Healthcare knowledge.
