Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem

Description: As a per diem, nonexempt, Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Staff Pharmacist , you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
Schedule: This position will work up to 19 hours per week, on an "as needed" basis. Pharmacy hours are 5:30AM to 6PM Monday through Friday, and 8-Noon on Saturdays, and this position works 4-8 hour shifts.
About the Facility: The OSS Orthopaedic Hospital is the first and only free-standing facility in the York area dedicated exclusively to orthopaedic surgery. It is owned and operated by the physicians of OSS Health who are board-certified and fellowship-trained in the many areas of orthopaedics. The focus for patients is on providing you with an excellent experience during your stay. This specialty hospital is committed to low infection rates and superior clinical results. Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.
About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy operates with a decentralized model utilizing the following technology: CPOE, Medent, CPSI and provides support to the pre-operative, operative and post operative surgical services offered to patients visiting the hospital. the pharmacy is open 5:30AM to 6PM Monday through Friday, and 8-Noon on Saturdays. Pharmacist typically work 4 to 8 hour shifts.
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
- Current Pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Pennsylvania
- Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program strongly preferred
- Experience as a Pharmacist in a Hospital setting preferred
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
- Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
- Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
