Pharmacy Technician – Per Diem  
Aurora Behavioral Health System West 
Glendale, AZ 

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician at Aurora Behavioral Health System West, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; and billing.  You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.

Schedule: This position will provide coverage for PTO and as needed during the working hours of 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, up to 19 hours/week and minimum of 4 hours/month. Occasionally this position may provide coverage at Aurora Behavioral–Tempe. 

About the Facility:  Aurora Behavioral Health System is Arizona's largest free-standing psychiatric hospital system.  We are dedicated to the wellness of individuals, their families, and the community through prevention, intervention and treatment via our inpatient and outpatient services. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy:  This pharmacy utilizes CPOE, Pyxis, and Bestcare. Pharmacy hours are 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.  Note: Aurora Tempe pharmacy hours are 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday. 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • AZ Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
  • PTCB Certification required
  • Pyxis experience preferred
  • At least six months (beyond the externship) current or recent employment as a Technician in a hospital or retail setting
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
  • Effective communication skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements (may be required):  

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving 
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th  
  • COVID Vaccine-Full (required)
