Job Description

The Senior Automation Product Owner is responsible for implementing and delivering automation capabilities that directly impact the strategic SDI roadmap as well as critical business goals including company targets and customer satisfaction. This will enable richer customer experiences, increased agility and cost optimization of CVS Health's infrastructure services. The Senior Automation Product Owner balances the competing needs of several stakeholder groups and negotiates the optimal feature set/robust automation product roadmap.

-Formulate automation requirements in collaboration with automation portfolio manager and relevant stakeholders using appropriate agile framework/tools/techniques
-Create and maintain an automation product roadmap and backlog that reflects value and prioritization efforts. This includes creating a Product Vision Statement and establishing the Scope of the Product with the understanding of the Product:
 Consumers
 Services and the Actions to be provided
 Critical Attributes
 Technologies managed
 Policies to be included
 Dependencies

Work collaboratively with Technology Product Owners, Architecture Review Board, Automation Portfolio Manager and business partners to drive cross-functional alignment
Translate strategic themes into key initiatives and business epics
Provide input into business cases documenting business objectives and outcomes
Collaborate with other Product Owners, ART, release teams and key stakeholders to support, coordinated delivery of product roadmaps and strategic plans
Participate in the development of user experience goals, user stories and provide recommendations (self- determined or team-derived) that can be used to improve self-service capabilities or support
Support both the business and technical understanding of the customer experience, back-end technologies/capabilities and business operations
Provide relevant business context for Agile product development team and lead team through planning exercises designed to help select development work for time-boxed execution.
Engage with Portfolio Manager and other Product Owners to understand scope of features; document requirements in form of user stories; guide the scrum team to ensure clear understanding of the requirements; maintain a healthy and comprehensive backlog of user stories to feed at least n+2 sprints; ensure proper and elaborate grooming and prioritization of user stories, collaborate with Scrum Master to enable resolution of issues raised by scrum team
Responsible for the various Agile ceremonies Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, PI Planning
Collaborate with the members of the Agile Release Train (ART) and any other partners to investigate, gather and evaluate proposed technical solutions for the features identified by the Automation Portfolio Manager.
Decompose features into detailed and well written user stories that effectively translate into a detailed plan which the scrum team will use to turn business requests into functionality that drives business value.
Identify and accurately document the acceptance criteria in the user stories through SME knowledge, use cases, collaboration with ART and input from the scrum team
Provide acceptance and sign off for completed user stories; this includes confirming the user story meets the acceptance criteria, appropriate acceptance testing was completed, validating the quality, attending a demonstration of the user story, and verifying that it meets the definition of done
Support the development process and product lifecycle by developing User Acceptance Test strategies and participating in the User Acceptance Testing, when needed
Leverage standardized tool set to support automation of services/requests.
Accountable for remaining up to date on SAFe Agile training and other technical learning.

This role offer remote work fulltime from anywhere in the US.

An ideal candidate must possess:

Customer-first orientation and strong passion for delivering quality tools, information and content in service to consumer needs
Ability to think several steps ahead in the implementation of automation and anticipate the needs of customers and the SDI roadmap.
Ability to bring new ideas to the team that align with the SDI Framework and/or the tactical automation roadmaps, growth and vision
Ability to demonstrate a keen awareness of the user experience while seeking opportunities for self-service adoption through automation of infrastructure services/requests
Desire to work collaboratively and experienced in driving projects to completion
Ability to manage/lead cross-functional teams
Excellent communication skills

Comfortable working in a virtual environment

Required Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience
Experience in owning/managing/working with Database products
3+ years experience with Agile (5+years project management experience is a plus)
Familiar with core infrastructure automation and technology concepts and trends
Experience in identifying and documenting business needs, working interactively and effectively with technical resources.
Ability to manage a team backlog through creation of user stories, prioritizing stories, and accepting stories in a fast-paced environment, with acute attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications
SAFe Agile Certification
Product Management /Product Owner experience

Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent working experience
