This position is based in the Los Angeles area; local candidates are preferred, but candidates willing to travel may be considered. Experience in the higher education, technology, media, and finance sectors is ideal. Positions are available at multiple levels.



Work you'll do



As a Process Improvement Specialist within our HRT team you will:

  • Lead and implement the process redesign, new onboarding, and performance management processes to set the tone for each individual's entry into the organization
  • Identify and prioritize areas with the most change using the HR services summary and design phase map
  • Design high-level processes to support the new organization in a different way of working, with emphasis on workload balancing, handoffs between embedded and central HR, removing duplication of services and non-value add activities, and driving innovation into processes
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work
  • Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports
  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
  • Assist in proposal development, as requested
  • Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients
  • Support the process redesign efforts for HR transformation initiatives to include such activities as: conducting

    current state assessments through stakeholder interviews, focus groups and process mapping, gathering requirements, and designing and implementing solutions
  • Help organizations of all maturity levels develop efficient and effective service delivery models





The Team



Human Resources Transformation
The HR Transformation team is a core component of our Human Capital practice – the work we do supports the five major issues our clients are facing. We collaborate with our clients to develop leading global HR strategies and support organizations in achieving excellence through implementing solutions that transform how they organize, develop capabilities, deploy leading technology, and deliver a leading employee experience.

Keeping the employee in mind, all our services cater to improving an organization's productivity through their human capital asset. The client issues we work with range from the need for a comprehensive HR strategy to determining the need for new and enabling technologies, to streamlining HR operations and transforming the way HR is delivered.



Qualifications



Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Psychology (I/O Psychology, Sociology, or other relevant field
  • Relevant consulting or industry experience
  • Based in the Los Angeles area, or willing to travel to the client site there regularly

Preferred:

  • HR transformation and business process redesign experience
  • Experience in the higher education, finance, technology, or media sectors
  • Experience in workload balancing, handoffs between central and embedded HR, removing duplication of services and non-value add activities, and driving innovation into processes
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
  • Business process improvement, requirements gathering, and mapping
  • Proficient with stakeholder engagement
  • Advanced degree or certifications in a relevant field
