Position Summary

Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Manager, Core Business Operations, Systems Engineering in Dallas, TX and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

DESIGNING, IMPLEMENTING, AND OPERATING SOLUTIONS FOR CUSTOM-DEVELOPED SYSTEMS, PLATFORM INTEGRATION, AND APPLICATION MODERNIZATION. MANAGING AND DELIVERING COMPONENTS OF CLIENT ENGAGEMENTS THAT IDENTIFY, DESIGN, AND IMPLEMENT CREATIVE BUSINESS SOLUTIONS. MANAGING TEAMS IN THE IDENTIFICATION OF BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS, FUNCTIONAL DESIGN, PROCESS DESIGN, PROTOTYPING, TESTING, TRAINING, DEFINING SUPPORT PROCEDURES. LEADING ASPECTS OF THE PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT PROCESS. CONTRIBUTING TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROPOSAL PRICING STRATEGIES. SYNTHESIZING OVERALL OPERATIONS STRATEGY. PARTICIPATING IN SETTING ENGAGEMENT OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE, DEVELOPING WORK PLANS FOR COMPONENTS OF ENGAGEMENTS, COORDINATING ACTIVITIES BETWEEN WORKSTREAMS AND IDENTIFYING CHANGES IN SCOPE. PARTICIPATING IN FULL SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LIFECYCLE FOR SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS. EVALUATING TECHNOLOGY NEEDS, DEVELOPING CUSTOMIZED APPLICATIONS AND DRAFT TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL DESIGN DOCUMENTATION. IDENTIFYING AND MITIGATING RISKS IN PROCESS AND TECHNOLOGY. FUNCTIONING AS INTEGRATORS BETWEEN BUSINESS NEEDS AND TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS. CREATE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS. DEFINING SYSTEMS STRATEGY, DEVELOPING SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS, DESIGNING, PROTOTYPING, AND TESTING CUSTOM TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS, AND SUPPORTING SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION. DEVELOPING DASHBOARD WIREFRAMES AND DESIGN REQUIREMENTS. DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING PROJECT DELIVERABLES FOR ALL PHASES OF THE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT LIFECYCLE. CREATING TEST CASES AND PERFORMING FUNCTIONAL, NON-FUNCTIONAL, SYSTEM INTEGRATION, BLACK-BOX, WHITE-BOX, AND END-TO-END TESTING OF SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS. RESEARCHING USER REPORTED ISSUES WITH SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS, IDENTIFYING ROOT CAUSES AND RESOLUTIONS, IMPLEMENTING FIXES, AND LIAISING BETWEEN BUSINESS FUNCTIONS, END USERS, AND TECHNICAL DELIVERY TEAMS. CREATING TECHNICAL AND FUNCTIONAL SPECIFICATIONS. TRACKING APPLICATION DEFECTS USING DEFECT TRACKING TOOLS; COORDINATING DEFECT RESOLUTION EFFORTS, AND DOCUMENTING RESOLUTION DETAILS. PERFORMING ASSESSMENTS OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS, AND IDENTIFYING GAPS BETWEEN BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS AND CURRENT SYSTEM CAPABILITIES. DESIGNING SUB-COMPONENTS OF LARGER APPLICATION SYSTEMS. INTEGRATING THE APPLICATIONS WITH EACH OTHER AND OPTIMIZING THE SYSTEM STRUCTURE. WORKING ACROSS ALL PHASES OF THE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT AND PROJECT DELIVERY LIFECYCLE FOR THE DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, TESTING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF CORE ADMINISTRATION PLATFORMS SOLUTIONS FOR ENTERPRISE-LEVEL CLIENTS. INTERFACING DIRECTLY WITH CLIENT STAKEHOLDERS TO GATHER FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS, ANALYZING REQUIREMENTS, AND TRANSLATING REQUIREMENTS INTO PROJECT DESIGNS TO DELIVER SOLUTIONS THAT FULLY MEET CLIENT NEEDS USING JOINT APPLICATION DESIGN (JAD) SESSIONS. TRACKING AND REPORTING PROJECT AND MILESTONE DELIVERABLE STATUSES TO ENSURE TIMELY PROJECT DELIVERY AND COMMUNICATION OF UPDATES TO INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS USING SAFE METHODOLOGY, JIRA AND MS PROJECT. COORDINATING PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES OF CROSS-FUNCTIONAL ONSHORE AND OFFSHORE TEAM MEMBERS TO ENSURE EFFICIENT COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF PROJECT TASKS AND DELIVERABLES USING JIRA AND MICROSOFT PROJECT PLAN. SUPPORTING BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES, CONTRIBUTING TO CLIENT POINT OF VIEW (POV) DOCUMENTS AND RFP RESPONSES USING MARKET TRENDS. IMPLEMENTING MODULAR CORE ADJUDICATION SYSTEMS INCLUDING FACETS AND HEALTHRULES USING NETWORK X, BENEFITS CONFIGURATOR, SAP BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE AND DEVELOPING IT ROADMAPS BASED ON FEDERAL AND STATE MANDATES AND CURRENT IT LANDSCAPE. CREATING AND VALIDATING ELECTRONIC DATA INTERCHANGE (EDI) TEST FILES USING EDIFECS AND VALIDATING THE PRODUCTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH HIPAA EDI (4010/5010 STANDARDS) IMPLEMENTATION REQUIREMENTS.

Requirements


BACHELOR'S DEGREE OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING (ANY), CIS, MIS OR A RELATED FIELD. FIVE YEARS OF PROGRESSIVELY RESPONSIBLE EXPERIENCE IN THE OFFERED POSITION OR A POSITION IN A RELATED OCCUPATION. MUST HAVE FIVE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH:

  • WORKING ACROSS ALL PHASES OF THE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT AND PROJECT DELIVERY LIFECYCLE FOR THE DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, TESTING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF CORE ADMINISTRATION PLATFORMS SOLUTIONS FOR ENTERPRISE-LEVEL CLIENTS;
  • INTERFACING DIRECTLY WITH CLIENT STAKEHOLDERS TO GATHER FUNCTIONAL AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS, ANALYZING REQUIREMENTS, AND TRANSLATING REQUIREMENTS INTO PROJECT DESIGNS TO DELIVER SOLUTIONS THAT FULLY MEET CLIENT NEEDS USING JOINT APPLICATION DESIGN (JAD) SESSIONS;
  • TRACKING AND REPORTING PROJECT AND MILESTONE DELIVERABLE STATUSES TO ENSURE TIMELY PROJECT DELIVERY AND COMMUNICATION OF UPDATES TO INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS USING SAFE METHODOLOGY, JIRA AND MS PROJECT;
