Responsible for working within the information security team and specifically the Security Operations Center (SOC) team to provide holistic security monitoring for DG.  Core participant in the organization's security incident response plan (SIRP).  Responsible, as a team member, for configuring, monitoring, and administering the toolsets used by the SOC.



  • Monitors SOC tools and responds to events, detections, and alerts.
  • Coordinates SOC operations, communications, and triage within the organization.
  • Coordinates application and system onboarding into the SOC program.  Facilitates offboarding when appropriate.
  • Helps define and build SOC playbooks including manual and automated responses.
  • Provides tier 1 engineering support for SOC toolsets.
  • Creates and maintains documentation related to security events (e.g., root cause analysis). Uses project management best practices to initiate, manage, and close projects.  Participates in meetings; builds and maintains strong partnerships with multiple departments; participates in vendor support engagements; etc.



  • Understanding of pragmatic information security controls and holistic defense-in-depth strategies
  • Understanding of current and developing information security technologies and trends
  • Written and oral communication skills that enable effective communications to appropriate audiences

  • Ability to influence and motivate others
  • Ability to occasionally work during non-standard shifts and in an on-call capacity and be available for occasional travel (up to 2%)



College degree or equivalent experience in information security or computer information systems preferred.

Minimum 2 years of information security experience.  Hands-on experience with at least 2 of the following technologies: Endpoint Detect and Response (EDR), Network Detect and Response (NDR), next generation firewalls, client VPN, public DNS, Microsoft Azure security, Google cloud security or SIEM.
