Join our team and start your journey today.If you are an Application Engineer professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Stafford, TX location, you will be responsible for pre-sales technical and application support for products and services. Incumbent will support direct and indirect selling resources in assigned territories to achieve sales goals.  

  • Support list price generation, optimized margin, and technical sales support
  • Partner with key stakeholders including but not limited to sales managers, product managers, engineering, planners, buyers, manufacturing engineering, and finance to maximize profit and provide quick technical solutions to customers
  • Be proficient in ASME and ASTM standards
  • Negotiate contractual documents directly with customers and/or suppliers
  • Prepare and give presentations to varies audiences
  • Maintains / provides key data for daily, weekly, monthly use
  • Assist pricing negotiations of customers' proposals
  • Provide varied phone and e-mail support to customers 
  • Organize and maintain customer service orders, quotes, records and databases
  • Draft periodic status reports

You readily action new challenges, without unnecessary planning.  You carefully consider all relevant factors and use appropriate decision-making criteria and principles.  You provide timely and helpful information to individuals across the organization.  You persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks.  You establish clear responsibilities and processes for monitoring work and measuring results.  You acquire data from multiple and diverse sources when solving problems.REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 0 - 3 years' related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Technical qualification in a mechanical field highly desirable
  • SAP and CRM experience a plus
  • The successful candidate will have strong computer skills, ability to work with detail and solid math skills.
  • Knowledge of valves and SAP would be valuable.
