As a Buying and Scheduling Supervisor, You Will:

  • Provide metrics and supporting data to the Scheduling functions in the area of customer service and inventory levels
  • Identify opportunities and coordinate solutions to improve service, inventory and department execution
  • Work with sales and customer service to coordinate and prioritize customer order expedites
  • Strategically manage both purchased parts inventory as well as scheduling make parts to optimize production output.
  • Investigate and report on past due (purchase orders, work orders and customer orders) and expedited orders
  • Support and troubleshoot Baan issues as it pertains to PIC execution, duties and responsibilities
  • Conduct monthly department meetings and any regulatory training as required
  • Responsible to manage a group of employees to maintain department standards in efficiency and productivity.
  • Effectively utilize departmental and company resources, tools and methods to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Provide training and assistance to all assigned personnel.
  • Obey all safety rules and stop work if continuing is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition. Report all safety concerns immediately.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field and five (5) years experience in purchasing, expediting with international suppliers and pull-based systems.
  • APICS, CPIM, Six Sigma or similar certification is preferred.
  • Bilingual with emphasis in Spanish highly desired
  • Supervisory experience is desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and excellent computer skills.
  • Lean manufacturing experience is preferred
